Dalam acara launching yang dihadiri oleh pers dan media ini dijelaskan pula bahwa Adandu dibuat bukan sebagai kloning Facebook maupun YouTube. Sebagai website video sharing di Indonesia, Adandu menawarkan layanan-layanan standard website video online seperti upload, edit, view, share dan voting, namun dengan perbedaan utama yaitu fasilitas video editing online / video mashup, yang memungkinkan pengguna mengedit, menyusun, atau menambah video-video lain, foto-foto, lagu-lagu atau efek-efek khusus ke dalam video yang sedang dibuat tanpa perlu menggunakan program tambahan lagi. Adandu, sebuah website video mashup editor dan video sharing di Indonesia, secara resmi diluncurkan dalam sebuah konferensi pers yang diadakan pada tanggal 18 November 2009 di Papa’s Gelato, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Jakarta.
